DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
It’s been a year since the world changed forever and this experience has taught us so much. The pandemic has given us time to evaluate our strengths and weaknesses and has helped us with getting a new outlook towards day-to-day circumstances. We started to pay attention to things that we never gave importance to. We realized how we should start cherishing each moment because you never know how quickly things can change.
This story is important to me because it sheds light on introspection, companionship, and sharing grief. We all know what it feels like to be far away from our loved ones, and these adverse and captive times of the pandemic made us appreciate the small moments in our life that we took for granted. But most importantly, the pandemic made us realize that sometimes the answer to our problems is right before us, we just have to let it in. Something that we’ve been looking for may have been right next to us all this while. So open your eyes and look around you.
Oonch Neech is about those moments of comfort, compassion, and kindness, that bring us together, especially during these challenging times.
