DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Growing up in a neighborhood akin to the one depicted in our film, I witnessed firsthand the challenges posed by water scarcity. My mother’s tireless efforts to collect water left a lasting impression on me, as entire days were consumed by this essential task. As like any other child, I found solace in play and imagination amidst these times. I remember, I often found myself conjuring scenarios where a simple gesture could fill a plastic pot with water. Reflecting on these childhood memories, I delved into the influences that shape a child’s imaginative world. My journey as a filmmaker, coupled with a profound interest in the child’s perspective, spurred the creation of this film. It is a testament to the innocence, resilience, and innate creativity of children, juxtaposed with realities of their environment.
