SYNOPSIS
“After The Shatter” is a powerful short film that explores the quiet resilience of trauma survivors. The story follows Khalid, a man silently battling PTSD, as he navigates group therapy sessions. As others, including Susan, share their stories of fear, panic, and survival, we witness a deeply human tapestry of emotional vulnerability and strength.
The film weaves flashbacks with present-day therapy sessions, showing how trauma lingers in daily life—from Khalid’s disoriented moments triggered by everyday scenes, to Susan’s silent comparisons of her pain with those around her. Without overt confrontation or resolution, the characters find solace not in solutions, but in being seen and heard.
