SYNOPSIS
An intimate collage of archival home videos, artist interviews, and personal messages, Remember When traces the shifting nature of memory across time and distance. Drawing from the Tamil diaspora, the film moves through moments of longing, disconnection, and quiet searching, where a sense of home feels both deeply familiar and just out of reach.
Images begin to fracture and slip. Moments bleed into one another, held together only briefly before dissolving again. Voices surface and fade, carrying traces of distance, longing, and the weight of what cannot be fully returned to. What remains is not a fixed record, but something unstable, caught between transmission and loss.
Moving between the personal and the collective, Remember When creates a space where memory is not preserved, but transformed, where the past flickers, distorts, and reappears in unfamiliar forms, asking what it means to belong to something that is always just out of reach.
