SYNOPSIS
”Butterflies’ return in Prajwal’s lonely life when he sees his college-time crush, Anvita’s latest Instagram story. She has apparently returned to India, and that too in the same city where Prajwal has recently shifted. Mumbai, the most chaotic Indian city, yet the most romanticized. Amidst Mumbai’s torrential rains, Prajwal finds himself falling for her again. Racing through heavy monsoons, will he be able to this time deliver the letter he had written long ago? Or will it drown in a splash?
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Splash came to me from a very special, very personal moment. The day I wrote the story was the day I knew that I have to make this film. It was challenging though, because the feeling in Splash is so abstract, and so thoughtful that there’s not much to be ‘shown’, but a lot to still be ‘felt’. The journey of making Splash has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. Shooting guerilla in the busy streets of Mumbai during monsoons was no easy deal, but the fact that the whole team came together to make it happen, speaks a lot about our belief in the film. It would be a privilege to have Splash screened at prestigious film festivals across the globe. I believe it is a story that many would relate to, irrespective of geographical or cultural differences. Looking forward to an exciting journey ahead!
