SYNOPSIS
After the death of his father, a social outcast goes on a killing spree, murdering the people in his life who have wronged him.
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
The Injustices takes inspiration from psychological horror and drama films like “Taxi Driver,” “Rosemary’s Baby” and “Black Swan.” My goal was to depict a lead character with a warped perspective of reality whose loneliness, anger, and isolation eventually manifests into destructive outbursts of violence. At the same time, I wanted to subvert the “outcast loner” archetype by highlighting the lead character’s self-victimization, internalized misogyny, and distorted sense of justice.
