SYNOPSIS
After losing her husband just days before childbirth, Suman—a young widow—finds herself utterly alone in the chaos of the city. Left without support or means, she navigates a city that has no place for the vulnerable. Each door she knocks on for work closes when people see the baby in her arms.
When desperation outpaces fear, she leaves her newborn in the care of Kanta Tai, an old neighbour, and takes a job as a nanny for Ruhi, the three-year-old daughter of a busy corporate woman. As Suman nurtures Ruhi with warmth and affection, the line between motherly love and emotional survival begins to blur. Yet, in quiet moments, her body and heart ache for her own child—a bond that distance cannot sever.
