SYNOPSIS
Swati and Yash live near Mumbai’s Aarey Forest, where an ancient banyan tree is Swati’s source of peace and faith. One night, she dreams of police and machines destroying the forest for a metro project while she desperately tries to protect the tree. She wakes shaken, only to discover the threat is real.
As demolition crews arrive before dawn, Swati joins tribal elders, local youth, and residents in resisting the destruction. During a tense confrontation, her live-streamed protest spreads across Mumbai, sparking public outrage and drawing thousands to Aarey in solidarity. What begins as one woman’s fear transforms into a powerful movement to protect nature and community.
Amid the chaos, Swati finds hope over despair. In the end, she plants a new sapling, believing that saving even one tree can help protect the future.
